Welcome to World Doula Week, traditionally celebrated March 22 – 28, beginning each year on the spring equinox. We truly love this work we are so very passionate about and feel grateful to celebrate the amazing folks we get to support this week.
We’ve created a little challenge to share in order to spread the word about the diverse set of clients a doula supports in our community. Feel free to share and participate; spread the good work of the doulas around you.
March 22 – SHARE! – Let your friends and followers know that this week is World Doula Week. Share our post or create your own!
March 23 – MY DOULA! – Who’s your doula?! 🙂 Feel free to tag them or let them know you’re thinking of them. Trust us, your doula would love to hear from you, no matter how many years it’s been!
March 24 – HOW? – Where did you find your doula? Was the process straightforward? How did you know they were the right doula for you? This is probably one of the questions people ask when you tell them you had a doula, right? Share your process of how you met your doula.
March 25 – WHAT? – What were some of the things your doula did for you and what did they do to help the process of birth and/or postpartum? Was it what you expected? Doulas provide physical, emotional, and informational support but that looks so different for each client. We’d love to hear what your doula did for you.
March 26 – GIVEAWAY! – We’ve got a little surprise hidden away at The Doulas HQ so stay close and to learn how to win!
March 27 – FAVORITE! – What did you value the most about your doula’s support? What was your favorite take-away from the experience? Share that stand out moment/skill/phrase/hug that gets your oxytocin flowing when you think about your doula.
March 28 – YOUR STORY! – Wo-man-o-man do we love a birth or postpartum story!! Tell us your doula-supported journey! Share as many or as few of the details as you want so that folks thinking about what to expect from a doula joining their team can know what to expect.
Yay! We can’t wait to celebrate this week together and follow along. Don’t forget to use #worlddoulaweek when you post!
lots of doula love from The Doulas, Alli and Riley
